Throughout my career, I've been to so many sales training seminars and conferences where I walk away motivated to do something I'm not exactly sure how to do. I hate feeling like I just wasted my time and got nothing out of it. Because I've been there. That's the first reason.
The second reason is the tactics and behaviors centered around sales & marketing can sometimes feel like a maze through a bunch of bureaucracy. I'm trying to convey to you that sometimes we know what we're doing is not going to work. Yet, we do it anyway because that's the way it's always been done. Then, because of that school of thought, we mistake activity with achievement, or worse, achievement with activity. You can pick what's worse. It's a tie in my book. I never wanted to follow the rules, and I certainly never let someone prevent me from doing what I thought was right. Because there's a better way to do this stuff, I'm doing this.
Here's what you can expect to get out of today. You can expect to learn that everything anyone has ever said about social media, sales, and marketing has all been through their own facilitation of self-discovery. Meaning they went through the process themselves and had some success. Now they might want to sell it. Basically, what I'm saying is that through all of these sessions, you are going to realize that:
+ There are NO rules to branding, sales, marketing, to any of it.
+ You will learn that what works for someone else might not work for you.
+ That there are guidelines, and there are guides.
